Grundfos Employees Ride Out in Support of Habitat for Humanity.
Six Grundfos employees joined 82 other motorcyclists on Saturday, July 21st, for the third annual, Ride for Habitat. Grundfos was a proud sponsor of the event which raised over $17,000 for the Habitat for Humanity Foundation - The organization provides affordable home ownership opportunities to low income families in need.
"It was a wonderful day enjoyed by many” said Saleem Rana from Grundfos’ Technical Department, ”We are helping to make a difference while doing a hobby all of us riders take absolute joy in!"
Participants had the opportunity to choose from three different routes which led to a central meeting point at Bayview Memorial Park, near Barrie, Ontario. Riders congregated in one of the park’s large pavilions and enjoyed a lakeside BBQ with roast beef and pulled pork burgers. Members of Habitat for Humanity addressed the crowd and thanked riders and sponsors for their participation and continued support of the event.
The annual ride is expected to continue its growth and increase participant numbers at future events. The continued success of the project has also led to a planned expansion into additional regions and provinces.
