UP MixiMizer at Grundfos Canada Inc - Oakville

Grundfos Canada recently expanded its Oakville facility to add 16,000 additional square feet of office and warehouse space. Not only has their expansion facilitated technical and customer support and assembly operations, but it also showcases some of the latest technology in radiant floor heating systems. The new system includes a Viessmann Rondomat boiler, Heatlink in-floor tubing and Grundfos' own patented technology; the UP MixiMizer. This system comprises state-of-the-art HVAC technology that offers efficiency, comfort and reliability.

The Grundfos MixiMizer represents a real breakthrough in the efficiency and effectiveness of radiant floor heating. The new technology adjusts the supply water temperature by varying the speed of the pump to match the rate at which the outdoor temperature changes. This is accomplished in a mixing loop within the heating system. As the need for heat increases, the MixiMizer Control speeds up the pump at a rate to match the heat loss of the office and warehouse spaces thus injecting more hot water into the heating system. Conversely, as the need for heat decreases for that area, the MixiMizer Control slows down the pump thus injecting less hot water.
